swampy, that is near perfect example of what im referring to when i say conjecture and other worldy beliefs.
you were in the woods, and heard "something"  well, thast all fine and good, but the truth is , most animals we already know about actually make noises that we are very unfamiliar with, and sometimes they make noises we have not heard before.
a bobcat for example sometimes make a sounds that is nearly identical to a crying baby..
to digress, you heard a "sound" and now you are a "believer" well, a believer in what ? the sound ? the belief in a yet to be described animal ? the idea of BF ?   based on a sound ?

see, what you need to understand, is default belief is  self imposed and psychological. ideas that were put into your psyche by outside sources like , books and TV shows.. you have a personality type lends you to believe, want or need to believe and your mind goes directly to that idea the second you cant readily understand what you heard.. so it must be a BF.
the reality is very different then that, whether or not you can or are willing to understand.
i am trying to say that everything, e v e r y t h i n g we understand about this world is subject to science and the scientific method, including religion.. i.e. Theology .

applying the scientific method to a sound, leaves an awful lot to be desired before claiming  a BF real.
now if you want to blindly believe and throw out rationale , fine good , just dont expect to be take seriously .

You're wrong....that's all there is to it.  You can go on forever and it won't change anything.  I have many reasons for believeing what I do.  I have one reason for knowing I'm right.  I only gave what I heard in the woods as an example.  It wasn't an animal of any kind nor was it human.  I know what all the animals in North America sound like.  These sounds cannot be explained away.

shootall,
a serious answer to your just for giggles question.
there is no credible , testable , repeatable science about parallel universes, time slips, other dimensions or rifts.
there has only been questions, guesses and speculations on the part of the top minds in any field of science.
based on what is known to science about quantum theory and physics, there have been some hypothesis' that have been put forward, but can not be tested.  for some really quirky reasons that i have tried to understand but cant,  time and light are connected in a way that science has barely a grasp on , but as i understand it,  light on a molecular level changes with time , not age, but how we can percieve light itself changes.. so if a object could jump thru a rift, we'd not likely be able to see it anyhow because the light it relfected and absorbed would not be detectable by our eyes.

so, lets say for fun , ole bigfeet can jump into our time.. we'd never been able to see him anyhow.. so we'd never ever had this discussion at all.. in all our collected reality,  BF would have never been a topic. however, we do talk about BF, some claim to have heard, seen and have collected evidence.. there for it has to .. has to.. be a real live animal in this reality / time / dimension..
there for it has to follow the quantum physics of this reality too.. or be a figment of imagination and myth.

Pfff... That's no bigfoot; it's just yer garden variety chupacabra. Here's a similar one. Notice the white teeth and grey fur?  ;D

Seriously though, if I were to borrow that trail cam pic, make up a good story to go with it and maintain a straight face, I could convince some of the folks I work with that it was a real live chupacabra. I imagine I'd even have a few of them relate how they saw one just like it on their parents' rancho in Mexico when they were kids. They'd tell others, post the pic on facebook and off we go.

This is exactly how many of these myths are propagated nowadays, and there's no shortage of people out there who don't think to question the veracity of the claims.

Chupacabra.... LOL!!

When I first saw the pic I thought owl up close to lense. Than something sitting... Then saw the hands and face better...

A phone call last night to my friend on his cell cured it up... He was beside himself with hysteria. Could hardly contain and compose himselfe long enough to admit to strolling past the camera in a Bigfoot suit he bought for one Halloween.

I admit I was very suprised when I saw the pic. Funny stuff for sure.

You are spot on about things like this going viral!!!  That too too fun y!!!

It was good for a chuckle, I hope you all enjoyed it as well.

i sharpened the image, and used some mid range tones for contrast and brightness.
i used the photo ready software, just to clean it up and make it easier to see, no modification or photo shopping .
to my eye, it looks like a weasel of some kind .  click the image for a bigger view

Fairly sure it is a Bear smelling the camera, funny thing is that it is an old style camera with a flash on it, I bet things got real exciting about a half second after it went off.  Larry

What you do is this.

Get you some South Texas pit bull hog dogs.  The next time something starts screaming in your creek bottom, turn em out and say "sic em".  Whatever it is should really start screaming after that, although briefly.  If the dogs come running back, then you should probably move because whatever is out there is going to be really pissed off then.

there have been reports, a few guys having done something very similar to that.
a bear hunter let his dog attack a BF while out chasing bears.
the BF literally ripped his dog apart, killing it .
i have thought , more then once that training dogs to track down primates would be a pretty good way of finding a bigfoot.
ofcourse, thats assuming a flesh and blood animal of this reality, dimension and not a shape shifting time jumping shooglie

I'm still waiting on an explanation of why these "bigfeet" who are regularly spotted by "eyewitnesses" have evaded the millions of trail cameras? Serious with the advent and common usage of trail cameras I think the MYTH can be laid to rest.

if a BF was real, flesh and blood animal, those trail cam would have picked them up and we'd have a whole mess of pics by now.
they cant take pics of what ain't there.

now"eyewitnesses" see all kinds of things their minds 'show' them.. the mind can play tricks, false memories, ghost smells/odors, missing time, vivid dreams, hallucinations, you name it.

every culture from day one has had legends of boogmen.. its in the human psyche..
and ole bigfoot is the latest incarnation , trailcams not withstanding.

As I mentioned earlier the trail cam can't sense that they are there so it doesn't take a picture.
