Your bet on the health care ruling?
« on: June 27, 2012, 11:15:07 PM »
I wouldn't be surprised if the individual mandate is ruled to be OK. The trend with the supreme court in matters like this has been to screw the individual first, screw the states second, and make sure the federal government gets more power.

I think they need to start over with a new legislative framework for a law like that, throwing out obamacare and building a system that works and is sustainable. Current situation with obamacare is to kill off old people through neglect, and make sure healthy young people are lulled int a false sense of security.

Mandate will be ruled unconstitutional...the rest will crumble later.

Most of it will stand. The Supreme Court isn't too concerned with the welfare of the people and always weasels out to some extent with each of their decisions.

Hope I'm wrong.
