For those of you that may have known Jack Vanhoose of Greenville, Michigan, he passed away yesterday at his home. Jack had been battling cancer since he was diagnosed last summer. Jack was a trapper, fur buyer, hunter, fisherman and a great sportsman. He was a life member of Michigan Trappers Association and always had time for questions, which made us all better trappers. He will be greatly missed.

Jack was one of the finest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I will truly miss the time spent talking trapping and hunting with him. Wether it was buying one rat or one coon so I could have enough gas money to make it to work or around the line one more time,he always had time to share a story and brighten my day.
I wish his family the best.

Vistation is from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with a vigil service at 8:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Catholic Church in Greenville. Memorial contibutions my be given to the St. Charles building fund or to the Michigan Trappers Association. Contributions can be taken at Hurst Funeral Home or mailed to The Vanhoose Family, 12180 Elkins, Greenville, Michigan 48838.
