Stupidest thing you've seen a drunk do?

One attacked me once. Another shot a guy through the head with a 357 mag. A minneapolis cop got so drunk he lost his judgement and got nimself killed in a confrontation. Another one hopped on his motorcycle and rode about half a block before being t-boned by a car when the cyclist ran a red light. One rode his motorcycle into my friend's van, killing himself in the process.

Saw a wanna be comedian walk through a crowd at the 1980 Indy 500 with a foam rubber brick. This fool would confront someone get a rise and throw the brick. A big laugh as the target realized he was kidding around, a beer was shared and all was good. Unfortunatly he picked a fellow with a girlfriend. Well the scene was played out and said drunk hit the girlfriend with the brick. Well let me tell you son, this 50 year old reporter has never before or since seen such a beating administered. This poor SOB left in a bambulanse.

Picture a big pit, that was used for a bonfire. A pig was roasted over it, corn on the cob,etc. Late in the evening, hundreds of motorcycle riders sitting around bs'ing about whatever.Lots of drinking, and no doubt a few drugs. One of the guys, decided he was a flat track racer. If you've ever seen a motorcycle flattrack race, you know how they turn the front wheel/forks to the right, and give it the gas and lean into a left hand turn. Well, this guy made it around the bonfire almost 2 times before he went in. It took 7 or 8 of us to get him and the Sportster out before the gas tank exploded or he burnt to death. When he came back from the hospital, to the rally the next day, he was showing some of us how much he had swollen up in certain parts of his body. Yep, alcohol can make a person do stupid things. gypsyman

Drunks trying to load a very nice boat...went on trailer crooked...backed off and tried again...finally circled WAY around and hit the trailer about 40 mph.  Boat wound up buried into the back of a very nice pickup....

Driving a wrecker I've seen sober folks do things that drunks would shake their heads at.
I recovered a pickup and boat trailer completely submerged off the end of a boat ramp the owner launched the boat and left the pickup with and automatic transmission idling in low range. He claimed that the trans was defective because it did not hold it's self in place. He was sober.

One engineering genius tried to cross a dry wash about 12 ft wide a 10 ft deep by building a bridge out of two 2x6s he was driving a Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 diesel. Yep he was sober.

Another intelligent individual attempted to pull his stuck 4x4 from a frame deep mud hole using his wife's Dodge Shadow he got it stuck before he caused to much damage to the cars rear suspension that he had hooked his chain to. He then enlisted the help of a kid with a monster dually 4x4 to pull wifey's ride from the muck. the car had sunk so deep they had crawl out to windows. not being able to get under the car to attach the chain to pull it out he raised the hood and tied off to the engine mount. Yeah Oh did I mention the rear suspension was still attached to the 4x4? It's amazing what stupidity and the massive torque of a hopped up Cummins diesel can do when it jerks the slack out of 3/8 grade 70 chain. Once again  they were all sober.

I could go on for days.

 About 30 years ago me and a buddy were waiting in his garage for another friend to show up after he got off work. My buddy had just polished up his pride and joy; a one year old Honda CX 500. It was in the driveway behind his car (old Toyota hatchback).
 
 We were sitting inside with the garage door open when our friend pulled into the long driveway from the street. He did the classic "gas instead of brake" move, smashing the bike into the car.
 
 Friend was drunk as a skunk, driving his company truck. He was fired the following day and had to pay for repairs to all three vehicles.

Big beer blast a few years ago and these guys got the brite idea of tossing beer cans in the air and shooting them with a 12 ga. One guy stepped up to see it better, rt in front of the shooter. Head shot at 6-8 ft. I knew the shooter and the dead guy, they were best friends. Guns and alcohol don't mix. POWDERMAN.

Stupidest is driving. When I was a cop the first trafic death I investigated was a drunk who killed himself and his passengers. The last traffic deaths was another drunk who ran over several children playing in the yard next door to the party she was leaving.
 
Imagine being the mom looking out the kitchen window seeing the car run over her children, then back up over them and hit a parked car. Driver was still behind the wheel when I got there.
 
To me drunk is never fun to watch. If you feel the need for a tall cool one do everyone a favor and don't drive.

 I am with you. I cant stand drunk dumba$$es and I make a point to not hang around where I might encounter one so I have not witnessed many acts of drunk stupidity but I have seen the aftermath of many of their stupid acts during the course of my paramedic career.

Drunk renter aimed a shotgun at his landlord, said he was going to shoot him and then pulled the trigger on the remington pump shotgun, lucky the gun was empty, the renter did 40days on a misdemeanor drunken disorderly, he had to surrender the shotgun but kept his other guns.
 
 
Alaskan Arctic coastal camping trip (hunting wally heads) turned wierd, gals, booze,  jealousy and guns
this happend a few years back, A June camping tip involving 4 friends and 2 accointances.
Beach camp fire (not far from the arctic circle) latter that night after some drinking and gals thrown in mix, one gal in group was a accointance with a reputation for being easy when drunk (Miss. W), was the root of the problem, Miss.W was feeling rather friendly and expressing it to all the fellows round the fire, Mrs -H (also buzzed) was not taking this well and wanted to kick her butt, A oblivious happy Miss.W  stopped by Mr. H and planted a big wet kiss right on him and this set off Mrs.H who then sprung to action grabbing a 12ga Marlin Shotgun, Mr. S  trying to interceede caught a gun butt to the teeth and she soon had a round of T shot chamberd and was bringing the long tom to bear on a hapless drunk Miss.W, lucky another the campers Mr.T was able to knock the barrel to the side as the shotgun discharged into the campfire throwing embers and ash all over the campers, 3 men then tackled Mrs.H and got the Marlin away from her.
She setteled for a bit but didnt relax, biding her time for revenge, A rattled Mr.H said to all the campers they need to secure ammo from firearms till Mrs'H soberd up, upon checking the gun stash Mr.H noted a missing hand gun Mrs.H's Beretta Tomcat was not there, no sooner than he found out he went staraight for Mrs.H and tackeled her as she was about to shoot Miss.W, MrH was pistol whipped four times by his beloved bride Mrs.H, who  was about to finally rid the world of another slutty woman when one the the fellows a ex Nam vet/cop (Mr.T) was able to disarm Mrs.H who was then trussed up to spend the night in the boat tied to the bench seat till she was sober enuf to cope, once sober both gals acted normal.

1989 Barrow Alaska I'd just finished a meal after work and was on way home, on exiting Sam & Lee's Restaurant, i was met by a very drunk local resident wielding a 6inch Buck knife, he said "Im going to harpoon You White Boy" as he lunged drunkenly twards me, I said Ok and turned on my heel and went right back in the way I came, stopped at the till and mentioned to the attendant korean gal that a drunk outside had a knife and was in danger of hurting himself or others and please call the BPSO (Barrow public safety office)
I then calmly walked out the other exit and walked home.
 
Another  time approx 1pm as I was walking to work (2pm to 10pm) when a couple very drunk local residents, the soon fell in step with me hecling me as I went  (walking to work), wanting to know what a Tunnik (outlander) was doing in Barrow, I said I was going tpo work, they were rather agitated by my reply (your here to take our job's), they then ask'd what I did, I'd said I was a Aircraft mechanic for a local airline, that eased them off a bit because you have to pass a battery of tests to get a federal license to be a airplane mechanic and be sober to work on them, after that they went off.
Not long after with a meager budget I soon purchased a handgun I could afford, a  9mm Helwan Brigadier
I  carried that huge hand gun in a inside jacket pocket loaded with 5 rounds of 9mm hollowpoints in the mag that would reliably cycle through and started to carry on me at all times.
I never had to use that gun as I useally avoided trouble as much as I could (easy place to find trouble) because I was transferred to working the late shift to 3 am or later (prime drunk encounter times).
