What model Star do I have?
« on: July 03, 2012, 04:51:40 AM »
Picked up a Star .380, with Interarms roll stamp on slide. Its that mini 1911 frame. I need magazines but see there are two different models out there. How do I tell which I have. Nowhere on it is there a model name or number (at least hat I can see).
Do I need regular or the "S" model magazines?
It came with a stainless mag that works but no designation on it either. It is flat bottom & holds six rounds.
I bought another mag out of a junk box at a show also undesignated but it has a "toe" and it strips majority of rounds free every time I try to feed a round.

I have a interarms 380 model D I think the star was the starlite , and Iver Jhonson also  sold  this model ,And that is the mag I got to use in mine it works fine, but had to relive the cutout for the mag release slightly to get it to lock in place  hope this helps some ,
