Thomas,
Im surprised youre still having that same problem. You didnt respond so thought you had it resolved. Well, you didnt really answer my questions. Did you reboot your pc? Have you tried a different pc from the same location? And is the second pc having the same trouble? Are you having problems reaching any other websites? Or is it just this one website? In order for a tech from an ISP to troubleshoot your problem he needs the following information:
Source IP
Destination IP or URL
A copy of a traceroute from your machine to the destination site
Also, the tech that works the problem needs to try to duplicate (as close as he can) the exact same path that you're coming from. Therefore if you're here in AZ, then why is the tech that helped you trying to duplicate the problem from another state? Makes no sense to me, but then again I dont have all the information. Not sure what operating system you are using, or how computer literate you are, but if you are using a windows operating system, you need to bring up a dos prompt, and traceroute from your machine to the website (tracert
www.tcarms.com).
start, run, cmd, ok...should bring up a dos window, then:
tracert
www.tcarms.comI cant send you a copy of trace results ( as an example) currently due to a firewall at my site, however your isp should be able to help you. If the tech isnt helpful ask for his supervisor. I'd also recommend that you get a tech on the phone with you rather than just via email. Yes there could very easily be some sort of routing issue. The routeable IP block that you're coming from could be blocked for some reason. Only way to tell is to try to get your ISP to assist. What ISP are you using? You coming from a dialup connection, cable or ? Try more than one web browser, Netscape, and internet explorer. You seeing the problem from both browsers? These are just some suggestions, let me know how it goes....
