I'd like to hear more as well - did you buy it or have it made by someone?  I'd like to know who does that sort of thing and what that kind of work costs.

Doc,

I been busted with another small caliber Handi! :o ;D

Since I have a split personality, I am going to take the 308 Chipshot and .30 Carbine and shoot against myself for pinks!  Maybe I will settle the great rimmed versus rimless debate!?!?! ??? ::) 8)

I can't comment on the detail of the work as I wasn't involved in it.  Basically it is a stub job only instead of a doner barrel for the chamber swell of the gun.  The chamber swell/under lug and the barrel are all from the same Handi 308W barrel.  If you look at the thread from yesterday, I believe, on the 8.15 x46?!?!  and follow the link in that thread it will show one method for stubbing a barrel back into itself.  I believe the one I have was done a little differently but I don't want to guess and put out bad info.

I am loading carbine ammo tomorrow ;D   so hopefully have a range report soon.  Will also get some pics.

thanks
