This is very dangerous stuff no doubt about it but don't delude yourselves Roboma would sign on to this treaty just as gleefully as Obama would if he were calling the shots now. My sig line says everything about how Robama feels about our 2a rights.

Luckily this is coming up at the worst possible time to get Congress to act on it. There's not many in Congress willing to fall on their swords for Obama's dreams. Even the dens will tell him to go urinate up a rope

  Easy statement to make for political purposes when campaigning in a far-left state...because he was threatening nobody's guns.  True "assault rifles" are already outlawed, for all practical purposes.  Fully automatic weapons cannot be privately held without a special, rights surrendering permit.
  The real danger here is not any US internal law, which the 2nd amendment can handle...but allowing the UN, which most of us despise...to meddle with our constitution and uniquely American freedoms.
    According to this knowledgeable person, Hillary WILL SIGN the UN treaty..following the Obummer's orders.  This is an "end around" the senate and will be the law of the land..if or until we get a new senate & president to change it back..

The signing can't be "official" if no treaty exists! DUH
No treaty can bypass the normal legislative proscess
The treaty is about international firearms trade not underhanded legal moves to upsurp the 2nd ammendment
We will have plenty of time to review and debate the agreement once completed
