With guidance from the good folks of the GO2GBO Forum I was able to complete a GolfBall Coehorn:

The mortar bed is laminated red oak cut on a table saw, holes bored with a drill press.
All surfaces cleaned up with a hand chisel.

The glow in the barrel is from a bright orange golf ball that I inserted for contrast.

Rotary table on the milling machine worked out pretty well for the trunnion machining
