The problem with America
« on: July 07, 2012, 03:27:25 AM »
From an EMail

Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way that you can
quickly understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic .
Someone over there has it figured out. It was translated into English
from an article in the Prague newspaper, Prager Zeitungon.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of
entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier
to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore
the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate
willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much
deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of
what ails America . Blaming the prince of fools should not blind
anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.
The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a
fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those
who made him their President.”

An economic crash like the one of the 1920s is the only thing that will get the US off of the road to Socialism that we are on and give our children a chance at a future with freedom and possibility of economic success.

Exactly! those people that have been elected into office are the same people now as when they campaigned. Our elected are nothing more than what we the people voted for. Its not the fault of Obama, or any of the other Marxists under him. Its plainly what America has elected to represent them. We can't change politicians minds or ways after they are elected. We have to change the minds of the people doing the electing. That is going to be a really tough task, when government itself owns the media, and our education system.
Those people who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants.    Wm. Penn

That quote has been floating around for a couple years. (It didn't take long for him to make that impression on his fellow 'leaders of nations') It is a remarkable clear observation and well put.

Seen an email like that several years ago. Not sure where it originated, but, they got it right. It won't be the B.Obama's or the Romneys that we have to worry about. The flash mob people, ows, the entitlement crowd. Those are the ones that will take to the streets, and the working middleclass, what few of us that are left, will be the ones that will have to contend with them. Matters will only be made worse, by a govt. that will be on their side. gypsyman

While I agree with the summation, I would point out that no special interest group elected Obama. He is the first president in a very long time, that won the MAJORITY OF THE VOTE. That FACT kinda transcends, and mutes the claim that special interest groups put him in.

I was under the impression that GWB was elected by the majority of those voting for his second term.

He was elected by the Majority vote, but special interest groups had a big part  backing him in the Primaries. The voters that put him over the top in the General election were Republican and Ind. voters who didn't want another eight years of what GW had given the country. They thought we needed change ;)  And we got it :o

There is hope though! Since 2008, according to USA Analysis more than 2.5 million voters have left the Republican and Democrat parties, while the number of Independent voters continues to grow. "IMO" This is an indication that voters are getting smarter, as their wallets are getting slimmer.
