Border Patrol: Agent fires shots after rock attack Associated Press Posted on July 7, 2012 at 2:02 PM
Updated today at 3:02 PM BROWNSVILLE, Texas (AP) — The U.S. Border Patrol says an agent fired shots after being pelted by rocks thrown along the Rio Grande.
Border Patrol spokesman Henry Mendiola said Saturday he did not know if anyone was struck by the gunfire. He said the shooting about 9 a.m. in Brownsville happened when an agent "feared for his life" and fired his weapon.
Mendiola says the investigation is still very preliminary and he could not release any more details.
In 2010, a Border Patrol agent in El Paso shot and killed a 15-year-old Mexican boy across the Rio Grande. Investigators say the agent fired after being attacked by people throwing rocks.

If goliath were alive today I bet he would tell us what a well aimed rock can do. Bp agents should be allowed to shoot to kill when being attacked in this manner. POWDERMAN.

I'm curious Muznut, how did you come to that conclusion? "Operation Wide Receiver" was indeed a Bush era operation. but it was terminated when it was found to be ineffective. It was also done with the cooperation of the Mexican Government, unlike F&F which was done withouot Mexico's involvement. F&F was dreamed up by the present bunch and was/is not connected in any way to the previous administration.

I do see this type of misinformation promoted a lot though, so I thought I'd ask.

Correction Muznut;
The Bush administration started "wide receiver" under the DEC, realized it was a mistake, cancelled it and went on. When the Chicago mob took over washington D.C. They started a new program aimed at destroying the 2nd amendment.
What's the diference..the "Bushies" recognized their mistake and stopped the program BEFORE any LEOs got klilled.
