hunting sights

what are you guys using for sights ? i will be hunting with my buffalo classic are the 38-55. but the front sight just wont do in the woods. thinks for any help  bill

If you sight is screwed on, I sometimes use a Remington ramp front sight.  If it's dovetailed, there may be a screw acceptor fitting that slides into the dovetail and you can put the sight screw into it.

Otherwise I'd look at muzzle loader dovetail front sights.  They can be found quite high.  Finally, the dovetail sight for the BC Carbine might be the right height.

I use this front sight .450
rear sight williams FP
rifle 38-55
I can get out to 500 yards and about the 1/2 mark on the rear sight adjustment more then enough then I need
