How much max brass do I need?
« on: July 08, 2012, 01:56:00 PM »
Well I have about 300 new cases. That said how many loads do you think you will get out of this straight wall case. I heard reports of 10 some say 20 some say they still have brass they have shot  more than that.  What in your opinion is the norm just wandering If i even need any more as even at 10 reloads I am looking at 3000 rounds worth. I have so many calibers to shoot I might never get 3000 out of this gun. and at 3000 Maybee I am wrong but accuracy will probobly be failing anyway.

I have 270. Figure it will hold me, especially if I use Magnum cases for light loads.
If he's carrying a singleshot, don't expect a warning shot!

Often straight case rounds will last a very long time compared to bottle necked cases.  With 300, I would think you ware set for an enjoyable amount of shooting!  :)  44 Man

You have way too many, send me some so they don't mildew ;D

I have a few and will order a few more but don't think I need a lot as I will probably shoot more 38/357 for fun. Maybe 10,000 will last me till the next run ::)

I think 3-500 would last longer than I'll be able to see :'(

depends on how hot you are shooting them and how big your chamber is. I have 38 spc cases that had to be scrapped after about 40 reloads. I suspect that unless you are trying to push the envelope that you probably will get the 20 round average. That would be looking at 5 to 6 K rounds. Unless you are P-dog shooting, that should take awhile.....
