They give a 1 1/8th diameter at the barrel shoulder and a 5/8ths long threaded shank. You would in all likelyhood have to cut off the shank, machine a new one and thread for the mauser action for this to work. If this works then you could have a 8mm heavy bbld rifle. Your barrel length then would be closer to roughly 23" OK the bbl is approx 90 bucks, figger in about maybe 150 to remachine the barrel stub and rechamber to 8mm/06. Blueing would cosy about another 200. So all totalled you have close to 400 into the project. Then get the bolt lowered,and d&t for the scope bases or one piece mount. Find a VZ24 stock that has not been banged around too much and you should be able to open up the existing barrel channel, possibly glass bed the action and first inch or so of the bbl

chamber,and just in case you were contemplating an action vz24 action providing you can find one in decent shape. Buy a rem 700 in 30-06 remove the existing barrel and have a commercial 8mm tube fitted and chambered for the 8mm/06 cartridge. For use with at least 200 grain bullets. Or fit the bbl to one of the BSA Martini cadet or better yet 12/15 action with thicker sidewalls. But what about the chamber for cast bullets you could use the 357mag necked down to 8mm.
