Spice blends for men
« on: July 11, 2012, 06:08:00 AM »
We've got a Penzey's spice shop near us and we go there once in a while, and make it a practice to try something new every time. Here are a couple of really good spice blends that are worth your attention:

Florida pepper blend: It's like lemon pepper but with more tartness. Really good with pork chops and chicken.
Turkish spice blend: Kind of like chili powder, but different. A lot of cumin in it. Really good in just about everything like stews, omelets, soup, sauteed vegetables.

Have you found any good spice blends?

I need to get my wife to respond to this post.
She is a Pensey-aholic.
Pantry looks like a Penney warehouse.
I like Chicago Steak Seasoning on burgers and steak.
Their Fajitas seasoning is good venison tenderloin, although I have switched to the "gunpowder" seasoning.
Not Pensey; its called Mis' Rubin's Black Magic Charcoal Seasoning.
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.

Hi...

Spices are a subject that are near and dear to my heart.

And to my wallet...

I work for the largest spice producer in the Known Universe...
I think you will be happy with their various blends and rubs...we use them on chicken, pork, steak...whatever. Their GrillMates products are excellent.

I can personally vouch for the freshness of the product and the cleanliness of the process.
