No, because you have no provision for a crimp.  Without some crimp, you run the serious risk of bullet setback in the case during the chambering cycle and a dangerous increase in pressures.  Rather than cut the Colt die to crimp ACPs, its far easier and cheaper to get ACP dies.  With an extra shell holder, it is very easy to use ACP dies to load .45 Colt.

My Hornady dies are label for 45 ACP, 45 LC and .45 WinMag.  I have used them for all three.  45 acp and .45 WinMag uses the same shell holder.  You will need a taper crimp die for the autoloading rounds.

The Lee FCD take cae of the crimp. The only issue that I see would be that the expander stem might be a bit large since the .45Colt uses a larger bullet and might kill all the neck tension by over stretching the case. If expanded correctly, the .45ACP only needs enought crimp to remove the bell on the case mouth, no more.

Lee FCD for .45 ACP is a taper crimp.  The .45 Colt FCD is a roll crimp.  I use Lee Deluxe .45 ACP dies and they can be used for .45 AutoRim but not .45 Colt.

Right, sso all he needs is the .45ACP FCD and he's theoretically in business.
