Regardless of all the imperfections of the two candidates who actually have a chance to be President, one is a communist and the other one appears to be a capitalist.  Anyone with a brain shouldn't have a problem choosing a capitalist over a communist anywhere, anytime.

See? There you go again, asking me to choose a child molester to try to defeat a pedophile. :P

I'll say this-I am getting more than a little sick and tired of hearing the grandfather of Obmacare campaign against Obamacare. It seems slightly hypocritical.

X2 Mitt Obamney actually has the nerve to run against his own record.
"Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves."

I think it's telling that several of the more adament pro-Romney voices cannot answer the simple question, "what do you think of Romney" at all.  Instead they can only drag this thread into the same old tired "lesser of two evils" stuff again.

I've given this, and the Ron Paul Delegates thread, more room to roam, but please stick to the questions asked or they will get locked.

Right.  The question was, "What do you think of Romney?"  So the answer to that question will be something to do with Romney.  It will not have to do with Obama, Ron Paul, or the lesser of two evils.  If, indeed, you do not think anything about Romney, they I guess you are not capable of answering.

I think Romney is fairly typical for east coast republicans, out here they are on about the same level as a conservative democrat. I think that Romney did the best he could as governor of one of the most liberal states and democratic strong holds in the nation. I think he pulled the Olympics out of the dumps and made it a first class show, and that was a boon for Utah and surrounding states. I think he has a strong business background and that is going to be alot more help in trying to get this economic collapse that's coming, either headed off or at least slowed down. I think he'll do alot to help get the energy industry back up and running, and lower gasoline prices equal lower transportation costs, and that helps everybody from the welfare recipient to the multimillionair.
I think that he can sit at the head of the line to get this mess we're in turned around provided folks send him reps to DC that are willing to turn it around,
I think that he's the only choice to vote for this November, I know he wasn't my first choice and there's only one person that I had less use for in the Republican primaries, but he's got the votes for the nomination and unless something happens at the convention, it'll be either vote for him or vote for Obama come November 7.
In the 1920's "sheeple" was a term coined by the National Socialist Party in Germany to describe people that would not vote for Hitler. In the 1930's they held Hitler as the only one that would bring pride back to Germany and bring the budget and economy back.....

I have to agree with Ranch13.  I think he is a hell of a lot better than obama.  He is a moderate republican, which I think is far enough away from a conservative dumbocrat to put the brakes on the economic troubles we have now will have more of if he doesn't get elected.
Personally I think he is a decent man.  He has held talk show interviews with some of the better known media pundits and has come away looking way, way better than any democrat.
He has business experience and knows how a capitalist economy should work - he is not a socialist (thank you Ms. Crawly (sp?)) who only sees a capitalist economy as a blank check for those he wants to have vote for him.  He is also an American, born and raised, not a transplant from Afrika supported by communist nazi (soros).
You cannot take a country and a economy like ours and subject it to the hard swing of a pendulum - the sheer weight of  business capability to support a capitalist economy begins to fly off when you swing it too far and we lose the ability for growth.  We do not need a right wing extremist or ultra conservative Republican to try and swing the pendulum all the way to the other side, we just need a moderate businessman to slow it down until the economy can pick it up again.  We need a moderate to repeal obama's health care debacle and we need some teeth in our gov't to pull back on any buyout left-overs and get our grandchildren out of debt.  Example:  didn't one of the largest banks obama bought out just lose a couple of billion $ - didn't the board of directors call it a 'learning experience' - what the hell, where is the rope.  If that had taken place under a republican watch the dems would have been howling for a lynch mob, but not obama.

If anyone really needs a political discussion to help make their choice, then think eric holder and fast and furious (or slow and stupid), think obams's use of executive priviledge and the use of foreign troops to avoid constitutional problems, think muslem worship in the streets and the loss of your homes and future through socialism, think about your tax money buying out banks that should have gone under which would have spurred growth, think about your tax $ paying for health care for non-citizens and think about obama giving away citizenship to millons of the 'undocumented' while those who try to immigrate through the front door are turned away.  If anyone here really needs a discussion then I think you are on the wrong website.
Actually, there is no discussion.

ranch13 and mikey hit the nail on the head.  now, we need to come together and give Romney a mandate that he can't ignore.

While he certainly wasn't my first choice, it looks like he's the one to run against Obama. He is, by a small degree, better than O. If  he has to, which is likely, if elected,he might have the opportunity to appoint a couple Supreme Court judge's. I believe that he would pick a more conservative judge, if possible, just because of his business experience. I don't believe that he would mess with any 2nd. amendment issue's, as like Obama, as it would really pi** off more gun owners.(at least in his first term, like O.) We really don't know where he stands on the abortion issue, as he's been all over the place on that one. It's too bad, that a candidate doesn't show who might be his picks for any of the cabinet posts, that right there would say alot about how he might govern. If Obama had to put up front all the commie's/socialists that he put into office, before he was elected, might have changed a few voters minds. Hold my nose and vote, and hope for the best.(pray some too!!) gypsyman

I'm not sure what to think of Romney. Why would a successfull businessman with more money than he can spend in a lifetime want the grief of running for President? I don't get the sense that he is on an ego trip, unlike his opponent. Could it be that he actually knows how a successful business operates, unlike his opponent? He isn't a charismatic speaker, unlike his opponent. I think he realizes this country needs affordable fuel and at this point in time non-fossil isn't affordable or viable, unlike his opponent. I'm willing to give him a chance, after all , I know what the alternative is.

Don't like him, but I sent him a donation. At least he aint a lawyer.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.
