Looking to get a softer recoil pad for the kids 7mm-08 ultralight with youth plastic stock, anybody know the best size to get? I can do a grind to fit but was wondering about the hole spacing
Why ride a darn fine horse to death,, then blame the horse?

Normally small, but you'll have to check the mfrs specs, see Limbsaver for a synthetic stock and shorten a synthetic stock in the FAQs.

My 45-70 with the youth stock was painful to shoot with heavy loads.  I called Limbsaver and talked to the representative on the phone.  She took my measurements and said that they made nothing that would fit without modification so she sold me the closest fitting grind-to-fit pad.  It worked out great.  I used a hand held belt sander.  Could have looked better, but works fine.  It made a really big difference in felt recoil.
