I like the rifle as a good survival rifle. It has rear scope mounting for traditional hunting. It has the scout scope mounting allowing for quick reloading from the top if needed from strippers. It has magazines that can also be used quickly. 3 or 5 for hunting, and 10 for survival emergencies. It also has iron sights if the scope breaks or something. It is also a 308 using standard military ammo. I also think the 308 is probably one of the best all round big game cartridges for North America. It can bring down anything even large bears with a 180-200 grain bullet. It also has a screw on flash hider that can be removed and a suppressor screwed on in its place if you want to go that route. Finally it can be tweeked to see what factory load is most accurate if you don't reload. Being a 308, there are a lot of factory choices. Even if it is only 2" at 100, that is 4" at 200, and 8" at 300 yards. That is accurate enough for most big game hunting and survival if you have to encounter a 2 legged predator. What more big rifle can a survivalist ask for?
