Does anybody know what's going on at rugerforum.com?  Apparently they have changed some things, and now I can't login and can't even register as a different user.  It says both of my email addresses are not valid addresses.

Ruger.net has been infected with a virus for some time.

Both of the Ruger forums,  the dot. net and the dot. com are have some issues, it does look they are not related issues and the dot. com site is more or less a revamp , changing looks and style, nothing more.
the dot. net site has been corrupted by a virus and malware

The revamp and new look are obvious.  What is still unanswered is why it does not even recognize a perfectly valid email address.  I can't even register, much less get an email that allows changing my password.  I hoped a moderator at that site might also be on this one and would get this message.

Flatgate is a member and occasional poster here. You might try PM'ing him or e-mailing him via GBO. I don't know if he has his account set to get e-mail notice of PMs.

His username here is: flatgate all lower case. Just looking at the site he appears to be the site owner or at least the primary administrator of the site.

As a side note it is likely that the reason you can't register with your current e-mail address is your account there is still valid and generally the software we use will not allow the same e-mail address to be used on two accounts. Chances are if you still remember your correct username and password there you should still be able to log in. You might need to clear cache and temporary internet files first.

FWIW a software update has been in progress there the last few days and appartently bugs are still being worked out.

I get to it just fine most of the time... but sometimes it does come back unavailable with a note to try again in a few monutes.   Done so and got in.

Yes, a "minor" software upgrade was performed at Ruger Forum.   And, as posted above, you cannot "re-register" using your old account's email address.

If you are still having trouble please feel free to contact I_Like_Pie or me, flatgate (sole owner and chief bottle washer).

We Will Need to have your "old" user name and email address to "repair" your account.  It's quick and easy but limited to Administrators to avoid trouble.

I'm happy to report that flatgate resolved the problem, and I am once again able to login to rugerforum.com!  I enjoy that forum as well as this one and several others.  Thanks!

I, for one, always look with great interest for Ol' Flatgate's posts and responses here on GBO  ;D . Other than Im reluctant to join another forum 'cause its another 'addiction' to take my precious time, I'd be there in a heartbeat.
