It is obvious that we have a few "Leftists" on this board, does anyone see them being labeled as what they are (Leftists) as flaming or name calling?  Should these leftists be allowed to hide behind the term Democrat? This is exactly how we came to have Obama as our president.

I say if the shoe fits wear it. Though the less confrontational approach would be to refer to the ideas as leftist not the person and seeing as we like to keep confrontations to a minimum that would be the recommended way to handle such references.


Now with that being said, I feel that so many of the things that todays and yesterdays republicans are doing and have done are just as leftist as many of the things the current administration is doing. I CAN NOT SEE THE DIVIDING LINE BETWEEN THE TWO ANYMORE! Sorry for screaming but some folks need to open their eyes.


As a side note to all this political scat. If you do not know how to a) provide for yourself and family b) survive without stores and packaged food supplies c) have the mental capacity to deal with a total collapse of modern civilization d) know how to defend what is yours and be willing to do so, then chances are you will be one of the 50+ million that wont make it through the collapse stage of whats to come.

Leftists want to create hard socialism/communism wherein they "give" something that was yours in the first place (funded with tax dollars) in return for lessening the individuals civil rights and privacy. Obama is a perfect example of a leftist. As for the dividing line I can see it easily on an individual basis, anyone who is fool enough to support Obama is a leftist. If you support the ACA then you are a leftist. Romney though far from being my first choice is not anywhere near the evil that the present administration represents. It is odd that those who stand for the Constitution are considered right wingers or some form of extremist. I agree that both parties have let our country move away from being an honest constitutional republic to a social welfare country, pick your direction but both parties are heading for the same place. The Republicans are doing it at a much slower pace.

The only time leftists have a concern for others in society, who they feel are disadvantaged, is when other peoples money is used. With leftists, I think its more envy of those that have, than caring for those that don't. If leftists are so caring, why do they want government to be the giver, instead of keeping more of their own money and giving it themselves? Conservatives are much more giving of their own money than leftists. I believe that is a studied fact. So the idea that leftists care more for the disadvantaged, is one big heap of bull dung.

Lets be realistic here. We haven't had a GOOD choice for President since Possibly Kennedy or Reagan.Well! we have had some choices along the way, but chose to go with the choice of our esteemed leaders, and let the good ones get away!

It doesn't look like we will in our lifetime.We can only hope and pray the ones we leave behind are smarter than we were, and can see the truth through all the BS hurled at them.I think they are showing already they are...IMO
