I found a few revolvers that got my attention.   One is a S&W 500 with 4 " barrel ported,  second is a ruger super redhawk in 454casull/45 long colt with 7 1/2'' barrel  and the third is a S&W M29 with 8 3/8" barrel 44mag.  At my age the S&W 500 scares me, i just don't have my older brother to shoot it first anymore.  The ruger in 454casull/45long colt makes sense to be because it can shoot both rounds.  But the S&W m29 with 8 3/8" barrel is on my want list.  I can only get one maybe.  Anythoughts???
Of course I also found a S&W masterpiece target 38special with a 6'' barrel  and a colt offical police 22lr 6'' barrel revolvers too at the sametime. The colt 22 revolver would round out my collection of 22 colt revolvers......i hate choices.
Sorry i'm trying to raise an awareness about whats showing up in my LGS lately all these need good homes i'm sure in your area the samething is going on. If you wait and stay looking there are some awesome buys out there.

Hi: 1911Crazy.... I can only comment on two. The S&W 500 is a monster that bites on both ends. I have a 4 in. and I am keeping it.  ::) The recoil with full house loads is on another scale. I have found a good pair of leather shooting gloves helps allot. The recoil seems to come STRAIGHT BACK, HARD. Muzzle flip with the break doesn't seem to be a problem. Just wear a strong belt, because light weight it is NOT. But in Brown bear Country, it's my best buddy.  ;D

The other I have experience with is the S&W 29 .44Mag 8 3/8 in barrel. I had one and sold it, big mistake. I also had it it in the 4 in. and sold that also, bigger mistake. I still have three or four .44 mags and it is by far my most favorite hunting handgun cartridge.

Just buy all three and make them and yourself happy.
