H&R .22 mag cylinder
« on: July 19, 2012, 09:34:56 AM »
I'm a gun show regular and recently started picking up a few Harrington & Richardson .22lr and .22mag revolvers just for kicks.

Was wondering, why are the convertible H&R revolver cylinders so scarce?

Thanks in advance.....

In my experience, any cylinder you are looking for is scarce or terribly priced.
Over time most of these extra cylinders from convertible revolvers get separated from where the gun is kept/stored and after grampa gets forgetful (oh, me) or dies hardly anybody knows where they are or what goes with what. A local gunshow dealer offered me a whole $5 each for two extra 22LR cyl.s (what most people want) I had on my table for $20 ea. For that I kept them..........BTW, they are gold if he has them for sale.
Send me some detailed pics of what you need and we'll see if they match at all.

Are you talking about a cylinder that converts to both rounds?  Never seen that.

I do know you can buy the LR or mag cylinders for about $35 from Heritage.

Regretfully neither of mine match; good luck (and carry the revolver and cyl. separate with you to gun shows for an easier check).

I've had one for 20+ years and just recently found out that it was a convertible. I have the 22 LR cylinder with mine. I would like to get the 22 mag for it. Does anyone know where to get them?

IINM,

There is a H&R Maggie cylinder on eBay right now. It's not labled as such but that's what it looks like to me!
