I'm thinking of trying them if the reports are favorable.

If I can make it go bang it can't be that hard to do.

I was wondering the same thing. No one seems to own a pair, or if they do they aren't admitting it.

Any opinions on Cabelas European HD binocs?

I just purchased a pair last week. I haven't got a chance to try them in the field but they will get a good test  next month as here in the Western Oregon rain forest the weather gets pretty bad. I did look through the regular Euro binocs at the Cabelas store and thee appeared to be a decided difference in favor of the HDs.

I was looking off the porch at low light. Looking into the woods with my Leupold Pinnacle I could see branches but they weren't well defined. With the Euros I could see individual branches well which too me it would make them better for picking out antlers in low light conditions.
The viewing field also looks much clearer out towards the edges on the Euros.

Btw my eyes are pretty bad at this point so every little bit helps.
