Colorado attacks unlikely to affect gun laws
« on: July 23, 2012, 12:14:53 PM »
White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters traveling to Aurora with President Obama on Sunday that the president "believes we need to take steps that protect Second Amendment rights of the American people but that ensure that we are not allowing weapons into the hands of individuals who should not, by existing law, obtain those weapons."
"The president's view is that we can take steps to keep guns out of the hands of people who should not have them under existing law," Carney added. "And that's his focus right now."

BUT! Lets focus our attention on keeping them out of the hands of people who will one day go crazy and kill people with them! ::) Give me a break! They will be (GUN GRABBERS) using this, right along with Columbine and others to try and push their agenda.IT WILL effect gun laws if they have anything to say about it.......Bank on it!

You think Sarah Brady won't use it in her anti-gun quest? If anyone believes BO or some in the republican party for that matter won't continue their assault on the second amendment, they are as delusional as this creature who took the lives of our fellow Americans in Co.

Common sense tells us Guns don't kill people! People kill people.
Problem being...........Common sense, isn't all that common anymore :o

The president is lying, he does not have a clue how to disarm criminals, he's from Chicago and could not do it there either.  He did agree with keeping law abiding citizens in Chicago unarmed though.  He really has no idea on what to do, just needs to say something I guess, but as usual, he sounds incoherent. The only thing he can possibly do is affect legal law abiding gun owners, it's the only "steps" he would know about.  He's a liar.
Jay Carney is a liar as well, they are all liars.  They would control your state CPL's if they could, give them time...they will try.

Don't be so sure. The gun haters will use this to attack the 2nd amendment and seek gun control measures. If obama wins a second term, I promise you he and the rest of the liberals will use this endlessly.

There was another shooting in Aurora, Co that didn't receive the attention by the press, and I'm  sure not by that Idiot from NYC..... Mayor M. Bloomingidiotberg, or the one squatting in the W.H.
In this instance, a CCW holder  may have prevented a similar tragedy from occurring.

NYC allows any person classified as a "celebrity" or the "elite" to possess a concealed carry permit: Joan Rivers, Donald Trump and his son, Martha Stewart's daughter, a radio personality, a well known hedge fund manager who doesn't even live in the city, David Wright of the Mets etc. See, Bloomberg believes there are the haves and the have nots and only the Haves can be trusted with a firearm.
The strict Sullivan Law in NY was passed at the turn of the century by a very corrupt politician called Timothy Sullivan. His aim was  to issue gun permits to his thugs while keeping them out of the hands of his rivals. It was then open season after he disarmed his rivals.

Obama lies--that's all anyone needs to know on any issue.  Woe betides this country if they give this malevolent, Constitution hating communist another shot at hopeless change.
