Trail camera pics
« on: July 24, 2012, 12:54:32 AM »
I threw a old camera out at this spot. I dont hunt here, but a friend owns it and likes deer pics... me too. :)

I added some feed as I have no worries about baiting as I cannot even hunt here if I wanted...

I had set up the camera too far form the bait... I got a couple blury pics but my bait was disapearing FAST.. 75# in two weeks... SO I got another bag, moved the camera to a closer tree and added a apple "sucker"...

Here is some of the pics form last week...

As I said, not too good... The flash dosent even reach the feeder...

SO after moving the camera closer I got some better pics..

Lots a does...

Then the masked critters came in...

Then deer and masked bandits...

Then the bucks arrived...

Hope you enjoy as much as I did...

I pulled the card again yesterday and filled the feeder.... It's funny the deer crap is everywhere!!!

Looks like the same two 8 pointers. You can see them growing since the end of last month..

Here are a couple of the better shots;

I pulled the card again this AM...

I got my first fawn pic... IN SEPTEMBER!!!  I put this camera trap in place in May... today, 9/6 I get my first fawn on "film"...

I also got the nicest 8Pt just after he rubbed his velvet off!!!

Here he is same day, about 4 hours later.

He also got the horns a bit tangled in the acorn block...

These are just some more good shots...

I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I do!!

Thanks I LOVE seeing the pics too!

I pulled the card again today... Getting tired of the "angle" I decided to move the camera a little... Now I have more of a "tree stand" view...

Saw some more fawns that are becoming yearlings.

The little eight is still a regular visitor.

Only one of the bigger eight points has been on film lately.

We are sure FATTENING THEM UP!!!

We also have a two NEW ARRIVIAL's!! This guy has a funky right horn... and look at the neck on him in SEPTEMBER!!!

This guys guy funky horns too....

This guys are just sprouting. ;)

More next week....

Well today we have a couple firsts!!

Monday my buddie asks me if I ever tried Acorn Rage? I have tried the "sucker" last month and the deer defineately liked it more than the apple "sucker" I used before it.

So, Monday noon time, he and I dumped out half a bag directly in front of the camera and we got 60+ pictures in two days!! PLUS, we got our first Squirrel, first day time Coons and a Coyote!  ALL on the Acorn Rage!!!!! Then we fineally got a good picture of a heavier nine pointer.

The deer REALLY like the Acorn Rage!!

I also caught a coyote in a field just behind the camera trap that had beed struck by a car. He was in bad shape and did nto put up much fight...

Next monday I'll check it again.

EDIT: I just noticed the deer are as "chunky"as we are! LOL... ::)
