Savage HMR 17
« on: July 24, 2012, 10:12:13 AM »
For the first time we took the Savage HMR 17 to hunt ground squirrels. We have a Muller mounted on it. I'm really impressed with this caliber, the gun and the scope. We were making 300 yard kills. At the range this gun will do sub MOA, repeatedly off the bench. A very cool cartridge and very accurate gun. This is my second Savage and the accuracy for a low cost gun is amazing. The other is a 270. Great guns for the money. I'll be adding a Mod 11 lite weight to the loine up soon in 243.

I have a 93R17 FV, and I love that thing.  Truth be told, its probably dispatched more varmints around the farmstead than any other rifle I own.
