Winchester Service is Great
« on: February 06, 2004, 07:50:46 AM »
Folks - I don't know how many of you have searched for Winchester lever action parts previously but today I got a real great surprise.

I called Winchester to ask about parts for some of my Big Bore 94AEs and got an incredible reception by a very savvy Lady who knows what she is talking about and has a great resource listing of all the parts I could ever need.  Now, I was just calling to ask about parts numbers and availability and before I was even finished she had them already itemized out together for shipment.  I thought I would have to ahve my gunsmith order them and have them sent to him but she told me they would be shipped directly to me within only a few working days.  I'm still flabbergasted......

But, when she told me the parts were covered under warranty, even though they were damaged accidentally, I was near breathless.  She wouldn't tell me her name so I could send flowers, candy or even a thank you card, she just said this was the policy and general concept behind the Winchester parts end of the business.  So, for me this is like 'Wow man', this is absolutely great.

I hear a lot of complaints from folks about dealer service and manufacturer's service and how bad they are so I just wanted you folks who like Winchester lever actions about the great service I had received and the superb attitude of the parts people I've spoken with.  Maybe the other gun makers should take note.  Mikey.

Your lucky, My experience with Winchester was less than acceptable. Long story short, New gun, piece of crap. Returned for repair, 6 months of pass the buck. Finally insisted on return of repaired rifle or a refund. Week later got rifle with new action and barrel. Accuracy stunk, Traded for a 700 Rem and never looked back. Last Winchester product I'll ever own.   KN

My experience with the Winchester Service Department  has been outstanding. No complaints here. There are just a few parts that Winchester will not sell to you. They are properly marked and must be mailed to a licensed gunsmith. Winchester has confidence in their customers to make the right decision on repairs. Not so with other manufactures.

That is one of the reasons I choose the Winchester product over others. And that is one reason I do not have any Marlins or Rugers.

My experiance with Winchester is  mixed.  they were willing to help me but kept sending the wrong parts.  Finally after blowing the order twice, they refused to try again.   I have a brand new Winchester sitting at home unfired for several weeks, due to their inconpetance
