I have only one so far. Its a 1974 Marlin Mod 336 .30-30, 20" Micro groove barrel, straight walnut stock(smooth no checkering), square lever, gold trigger, wearing a nylon sling on swival mounts, A Bushnell 1.5x4.5 banner scope with Weaver see through mounts 8) . She is my little gun that can and has gotten the job done on many occasions.

I have the disease pretty badly.  I first got a 336 in 75 as a child.  It is in 30-30.  I also decided a couple of years ago to add a 336SS W/2-7X VX2 Leupold, a 17V, a MR-7 in 270, a 1895 22 in. barrel, 1894 357, and a CB336  in 30-30 I just aquired new. Most topped with the Leupold 2-7X VX2 except for 17 and 270.  They have a Tasco Varmint scope, and a Leupold 4-12X VX2.  All are accurate and get down to business.  I have not been frustrated or dissapointed with any of them. Its good Marlin talk went down.  Maybe my disease will slow down a little!

Dr.A, the fever never goes away. Once a Marlin nut always a Marlin nut. :)
Hated to see Marlin Talk go away, it was my second home to GB.

Only Marlin CF I have is my late dad's Sears #45 in .30-30.
Rimfires; 1897T, 1897CB, 1897CL, and 39A. The 39A is '67 vintage but just like new.

Howdy,

I'll throw in..
I've got a very nice older 39a and a 1895 in 45-70, the round barrel version.
Then I've got one 1894cs in 357 and a pair of 1894 cowboys, one in 44 and one in 357.  I sure like the Marlin for Cowboy Shooting.

I have a model 56, an 1895 (pre cbs), 336 .35, and 1894 .45lc. All my lever actions sport receiver sights. After all these years, I still can't pick a favorite, so I just keep shooting all of them. The situation may get even more confusing if I bring home a new 38/55.

My Marlin is a Model 336 44 Magnum.  I took two Corsican Rams with it back in 1991 in Texas.  You will find the stories about the hunt here.

I only have one that seems to be a redheaded stepchild here. A MR-7 in 270. Very fine shooting rifle. Very impressed with it. I am working on getting a 336SC in 35 Rem from a guy who swears he bought it in the late 50s new, and used it 1 hunting season. Excellent condition. DM

I was impressed with it this year. I hit a running yote at 250 yrds, then my deer at 15 yards. Seems to be a well planned and executed rifle. DM

Marlin 30AS plain Jane. Nice tho. See thru scope mounts. No scope. Oh and it's a 30-30 cal. Got it from a young fellow that bought a Remington Bolt action. I haven't shot it yet. It should shoot ok and I'm not worried about it shooting. I just target shoot anyways. I think it's a 90's model?

I'll keep it short, and not too specific.
 8 Marlin Ballards
 3 1881"s
 1 1888
 2 1889's
 3 1891's
 3 1892's
 11 1893's
 5 1894's
 2 1895's
 2 model 410's
 1 model 39
 3 model 39a's (one case hardened 1941)
and a few misc shotguns, pumps, etc.
From the 1895's on back, these are all pre WWI or pre 1900 Marlins.

I think that's all the Marlins?

An old straight stock 444 with receiver peep.  Shoots a 275 hardcast gc at 2250 right into an inch at 50 yds.  A model 62 in 256 Win Mag that is soooooo much fun I can't believe some company hasn't picked up this catridge and done a rifle around it.   Like Marlin in an 1894.

Let's see a 1936 in 30-30, a 1895 straight grip older one in 45-70, a 1894 in 44 mag, and one in 357 (crossbolt safety) and 2 Marlin 120s 12s of course and last but not least a 1954 era Model 39.  Let's see now I need them in 25-20, 32-20, 38-40 and the new one in 32 H&R Mag. I'm still thinking.

3 Marlins

1894P - 44 Magnum
444P
17VS

All of them are terrific shooters.  I wish my bolt actions (Browning) and my single shots (Ruger #1) would shoot half as good as my Marlins.
I am amazed every time I take them out to shoot.
