If you are already loading for a 44 all you need is a box of shot capsules, some 9,8 or 7.5 lead shot and you are good to go


Much cheaper too!

looks like the .44 spcl and .44 mag share the shot load, no magnum only unless you stuff yer own

Yep, get the Speer capsules...

I reload them for the 38/357 Magnum...44 Magnum...and the 45 Colt..

They work quite well...

Gotta be careful of the crimp as it will break the plastic capsule...

As mentioned--lots less expensive also...

I just found some 357mag & 44mag snake shot in my brothers stuff.  He also had those exploding bullets too the ones being sold in the late 70's or early 80's and i think they had mecury in them with a rod sticking out the center to make them function.  I'm saving them for the history of ammo.  The leo's were buying this ammo like crazy at my LGS.
Good post it could be a good idea to carry a snubby with snake shot too in the wilds. I always would catch snakes sunnying themselves on rocks in the trails. I just don't want to shoot them for no reason but the water snakes can be mean.  I gave one three chances to get away when i tossed it with my fishing rod.  But when it raised up its opened mouth ready to strike me i smashed it with a rock.  Little kids fish this spot with there dads too.  These water snakes are mean.  My oldest son never seen me lose it.  But when threatened by a snake it just isn't going to bite me. The snake was trying to eat the fish i was reeling in.

Midway lists it as "discontinued by the Mfr", but they have some in stock.

I've seen it for sale at wal-mart, here in LA. Haven't checked lately, but I will next time I'm in town. I've also seen it at gun shows. If I run across some, what's your price range per box, and how many boxes can I pick up for you? I'd be happy to pick it up and ship it to ya. Just let me know...
