36 or 40 cal?

I was wondering if any one can point me to a place that still makes one of these, I really wanted a T/C but know they dont make em any more. Thanks

Green Mountain makes barrel blanks you can have your gunsmith rebarrel a TC to. Track 'o' The wolf has replacement breech plugs with a smaller hole inside or you can sleeve an existing TC one.

I have been meaning to do exactly this to a Cherokee I have that has a rusted out 45 cal. barrel. Should be a neat little rifle if I ever get a round tuit.

40cal drop-in barrels for t/c hawkens are still listed on green mountain's site in 32" & 38" lengths. save all that hassle of roudin' up parts then gettin' somebody with time to do the work. for what it's worth & have a good'en, bubba.

I believe the  "Traditions" Shenandoah is available in .36 caliber, as is the Pedersoli Blue Ridge from Cabelas.

Traditions Still makes a version of the deerhunter  in .32..A good serviceable rifle at a beginner level of price..

Cool, I didn't know they were still making drop-ins. I'll have to get one of those! For the Hawken anyhow.

One of the barrels for my TC Hawken switch barrel switch lock is a 36.   Was built by a custom smith for eastern long range matches.   Back then at least GM and Numrich had barrels for dop in and fitting.  Don't remeber which this one is without looking it up as he used both brands for this 36/45/50 rifle.   
 
Always wanted to also add a 40 to it, never got around to it.

Singleshot,  I have a 32" Green Mountain drop in .40 caliber barrel for my TC Pennsylvania Hunter rifle.  The barrel dropped right in without any alterations needed.  Accuracy is very good. The only complaint I have, if you can call it a complaint, the barrel is very heavy.  :)  I think that barrel will fit most of the precussion TC rifles with a 15/16" barrel.
 
Here's a photo of my wife shooting the .40 from the bench.  There's hardly any recoil.
