WFN's are good
« on: August 01, 2012, 06:54:36 PM »
Here is a group shot with my BFR 475 at 200 yards.  There was a little wind from right to left.

Bullet used was from my LBT 420 WFN mold. These WFN's sure do fly well.  I'm going to take it out to 300 yards next time.  Thank you, Veral for the great design and mold!

Study after study has shown how dangerous distracted driving is yet people continue to talk on their cell phones while driving. Driving in the U.S. requires your full attention. Many states and countries have made it illegal to use a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle and the federal government should follow their lead. Banning the use of cell phones while driving would have the added benefit of making the no-texting law enforceable.

My middle name is R. H. the H standing for Harry, which I guess makes us brothers.  If the name doesn't your delightful report does!  Thank you!

When I designed my bullets all the handgun bullets were tested out to 450 yards, just plinking on rocks.  If I couldn't coinsistently hammer head sized rocks at that range the bullet didn't go into my lineup.    So my opinion about WFN's is better than many other shooters who do their shooting at close range and maybe especially if they have to drive miles to a range to shoot.  I've keep a place for the last 33 years where I can shoot out the back door of the shop, which any size gun,   Nice when it's raining or bitter cold as the wood stove behind my behind feels real good.

WFN's have been working for me ever since I got the gun in '09.  Here's a 50-yd group the first time I had it out with store bought WFN's.

What does WFN stand for?
"'Tis a far better place I go to than I've ever been."
"'Tis a far, far better rest I go to than I've ever known."

The older I get....the better I was.

Even better than WFN's is Veral's book.  He brings up all kinds of information in his book.  It is must for every shooter to get the book and try out what he says.  You will be amazed at the results.  Or don't get the book and have inferior results.  Inferior is good too because it allows those who are doing good to stand out.  Do pick a method and show your results.  The weakest thing is to do nothing.

I'm glad the new books are spiral bound. I got my first one in 82 or 83 and read it so much the pages are now coming out. Got my second about 5 years ago and its been read and read but still like new. My findings over many years on my own mirror what Veral says.

You're welcome.  Glad you enjoyed it.  I'm really impressed with the combination.    ;D
