Charlie,  I am sorry to hear of your loss.    She is in the hands of the LORD now -- no pain only love and comfort.    Those of us in the swamps shall always honor her memory when the lilies and orchids are in bloom.

The nursing staff was terribly ineffecient. Last day she lived They put a childs oxygen mask on her for over 5 hrs before we cold get them to change it, finally got one for an adult and her oxygen level jumped way up. We will meet with the hosp admin before going home. Thanks for the prayers guys, we have a very hard couple of days ahead of us. One sister is keeping all our nerves shot. I've taken 3 nitros the past week and lost track of the aspirin I've chewed up. I'll stop before I lose this post too. Thanks for the prayers, we need every one of them. Charlie.  :( :(

Hospital staff can be strange at times. My first wife was hospitalized for about two weeks before she died. We had quite a bit in the room, flowers and personal stuff. Within minutes of her passing a nurse came and told us that the room needed to be cleaned out in 20 minutes. My wife's body was still in the room.

We buried Mom today, still doesn't seem real. We came home, the 1 sister has us all at the end of our nerves. We all agreed to reclaim what we had given Mom over the years and I brought a few of them home. Mom put my name on her car 3 years ago, it's 16 years old. Got a nastygram by text before we got 1/2 way home telling me that sis cancelled the insurance on the car and accused me of stealing. Patty is really torn up without all the xtra crap we are getting. GAve Patty a nerve pill and put her to bed. I love my sister but fear she will die a very hateful person and all alone someday. My other sisters said, welcome to our world, she's like this every day. Great to be home after 2 wks, looking forward to my own bed. Thanks for all of the prayers, they were much needed and appreciated. Charlie.  :( :(

Charlie, I am sorry to hear of your loss.  It's funny how some families can act when something like this happens.  I seen it first hand when my grandfather passed, and the ugly side came out in one of my aunts.  In the interest of family harmony, my father and uncle just walked away from the whole mess, though it did create bad feelings that never did heal.

Sorry for all your sadness right now.  In the longer term, remember all the good times with all the family, and the good things you were taught.

A lot of us have seen the nastiness that comes from wanting "stuff".  A lot of it would maybe not even make good yard sale items.  There are a few keepsakes that everyone should have.  Our biggest loss was that family pictures were in a dresser my brother had, and it was stolen when he was moving and forgot to lock a door.

Pattys nerves were so bad last nite she had a breathing attack and I had to get up and open a new inhaler. Talked to 1 sis tonite and she said the other 2 are going a it now, sandy isn't happy if she can't make somebody feel like crap.
When Mom worked in the munitions plant during ww11 there was a big explosion that killed over 120+ people, mostly women. She worked there a yr and 1/2 til the poisons from the chemicals used there almost killed her. She got real weak and her skin and hair turned orange, she had to quit. She went there because her fiance, Pop, and her 3 brothers were overseas fighting the war and she wanted to do her part. She was preceded in death by everyone in her family, she was the last of her generation. I don't believe that folks of the current generation would ever pitch in like her generation did. Patriotism was strong then, then came liberals. Thanks for the prayers guys, gonna give Patty another sleeping pill tonite. POWDERMAN.  Sad Sad

Moms Church has a clavinova. It plays like a piano but can add a variety of other sounds if wanted, it also plays and records. After getting cancer she worked with the music director and recorded 50 songs for the Church to use when she was not able to go. It was an eerie feeling at the funeral hearing her play the piano as the choir sang. She continues to give, even in death. They are supposed to transfer her music to disc for the family.
