Successful moose shooting with 22LR
« on: August 04, 2012, 10:24:24 AM »
I shot this moose 20 times with my Henry levergun at 50 yards.  No tracking at all.  :D

Magazine and calendar pictures are great fun for plinking!

Good shooting, a few flyers, but most are in the vitals.  But some words of advice if you are going to shoot a Moose.  Concentrate more on that shoulder.  Dead center of the shoulder, big target.  Forget the Heart Lung area.  You don't want to shoot one there.  Takes too long for them to lay down and die.  Gives them the chance to get to water, and dive in.  You want to drop them on the spot so concentrate on the center of the shoulder, break that shoulder.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
