American exceptionalism. Well, we developed mass production of goods using identical parts. We built the first transcontenintal railroad. We invented the steamboat, iron or steel ships, submarines, telegraph, telephone, phonograph, moving pictures, television, developed ac electric power, went to the moon. Without us, WWI and WWII would have been lost by the allies. We developed hybrid corn, wheat, and rice back in the 60's which kept the world from starvation. We were the first to mass produce automobiles. We invented the airplane. We took inventions from others and mass produced them for the most people to enjoy. We invented the sewing machine, the spinning jenney, cotton gin. We developed the steel plow and harvesting machines. We invented photography, the transistor, computer chip(s), computers, as well as the PC, iPhones, iPads, Teflon, ball point pen, typewriter, memograph, cast iron stove, discovered electricity, floppy disks, CD's and DVD's, broke the sound barrier, built the Panama canal. Developed the highest standard of living for anyone anywhere in the world. Everyone wants to come here, everyone really wants to be like us. We developed the caplock gun, cartridges, rifling, repeater rifles. We developed the refrigerator and refrigerating equipment, concentrated orange juice, canning of meat, refrigerated rail cars and trucks, milking machines. We conquered measles, polio, mumps, whooping cough, and other diseases. We developed antibiotics, and blood tranfusions. We developed MRI machines, CAT scans. We developed the laser, laser surgery, and industrial lasers. We developed various welding techniques.
This is just some of the things Americans have done to improve the lives of everyone in the world, and America isn't exceptional? BS.
