Travons mom, the young man killed by Zimmerman in Florida, is seeking $75,000 in damage's from the homeowners association that runs the gated area in where he was shot. Is it just me, or does it look like all she wants is a quick buck. Zimmerman hasn't even come up for trial yet, could be found innocent, and then what?? Wouldn't you think her lawyers would have told her to wait until at least the outcome of the trial is over!! Strange world. gypsyman

She might think this is her best chance of getting anything.
If they wait until after the trial she stands the chance of a jury comming up with a " just " verdict!

Looks like legalized extortion to me. It would cost the association probably more than 75k to fight it, so they will have an incentiv to settle out of court for maybe 50k.
Got any opinions about whether a loser pays system for lawsuits is better than a system that allows stuff like this?
