i have a ruger 77/17, and i just don't shoot it much.  i would like to trade it to a dealer for a nef .17 sprortster, and a .223 handi rifle.  does this sound like a deal i will be able to get in a straight trade?

If the Sportster and the Handi are both (New in Box), it sounds like a fair trade. That is if your ruger is just the bare gun with no scope.  If I were you I'd put your Ruger on Gunbroker with a 1.00 starting bid and set a reserve on it. It's worth a try, if it doesn't sell for what you want then you owe them nothing. If it does sell you pay them a fee of like 2 1/2 percent. You might make out a little better that way, no better way to get your gun in front of millions of peolpe. ~~ SV

You might also try posting it on our classifieds here and see if you can make a good deal on it.You just can't have it on both places at once.
