Russian SVT-40 carbine 18" barrel
« on: August 12, 2012, 07:51:33 AM »
On the gunrunner auction site  item  #1028856271  is a russian finnish captured [SA]  russian svt-40 carbine with an 18" barrel.  This one appears to be the real thing.  Its at $570 right now.
A few years back there was a whistle blower in canada about his buddy who was a gunsmith cutting down the long barreled svt-40's into shorter barreled carbines.  These were such a good match that you can't tell the difference between the two. Just some food for thought......

As long as they cycle there should not be a problem, except for the horrendous muzzle blast.
