The 385 Hornady Great Plains conical over 75 grains Pyrodex RS worked just fine in my New Englander. The 410 grain GP shot even better, but Hornady discontinued that one.

Around 60 to 65 grains of 3F Black Powder.
The 3F is cleaner burning, and you use about 10% less than 2F which makes it cheaper to shoot.If you can't get real black powder in your area, then Pyrodex P (For pistol) works great in all my rifles.Seems to have a faster ignition also.
