Good looking MaMas
« on: August 16, 2012, 01:24:57 PM »
OK enough time has passed and it is time for the older men to come clean. Who was the best lookin TV Mama? Was it Mrs. Walton of Walton's  Mountion or Mrs Engles of Little House?

Of the two you listed it is Mrs Ingalls easy.
But if you want to know who was REALLY hot, it was Lilly Munster!

Yvonne DeCarlo as Mrs. Warren in McLintock, Lily Munster and Moses' wife, Zipporah.
Also, Betty Rubble.

I'll pick Donna Reed from the Donna Reed Show.

I'll cast another vote for the Beave's mom,  Barbara Billingsley.   A stay at home mom who was always dressed to the nines complete with heels and pearls.   ;)

Of the two Ingles.  But I remember Donna Reed as a Mama in her TV show.  Waltons was after I left home and no longer watched TV, So was Little House on the Prarie.

I did not watch TV from 1968 till sometime in the early 90s.  I was too busy with my life.  Chasing women, wild horses, hunting, and fishing.  TV still is not watched in my house much.  The wife has been gone for over a week, and the TV has not been turned on since she left.  It won't be turned on till she gets back either.  Sky and I just aren't interested in watching TV.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

With the vast majority of the crap they show on TV today who can blame you.  Did not watch TV for months myself until the Summer Olympics.  Now that that's over I haven't watched any since.  I do watch Net Flix movies fairly often.  I like the old B&W movies and Sci-fi.

The most romantic TV mother was Morticia of the Addams family.  Every time she would speak French,  Gomez would grab her arm and start kissing her.   She never said no or pulled away from him.  She always said "later, dear." She was also easy on the eyes.

To the OP's question Mrs. Ingalls for sure. Not necessarily a mom but Andy Griffith had a pretty hot girlfriend Helen Crump.

Sourdough, you just went up a few notches in my esteem!  ;D   When the networks went digital a few years back, it took me three months to realize it and hook up my converter box!  Back when my kids were still at home and watching TV (I had cable back then), sometimes I'd see something they were watching and think I'd sit down and enjoy it with them.  I usually didn't last fifteen minutes before I realized there was something else I'd rather be doing.

Now that I'm older, I watch some content on Netflix during those times when I'm too tuckered out to do any more but not quite ready to turn in for the night.
