More government interference in the family
« on: August 19, 2012, 08:26:10 AM »
Politicians are attempting to prosecute parents who help their children in making life changing decisions.  Apparently the politicians think they can do a better job of parenting than can the actual parents!
         http://now.msn.com/bill-would-ban-parents-from-trying-to-cure-gay-kids

What next..fine or jail parents who try to teach their kids proper manners, courtesy, or to stop biting their fingernails ?  Perhaps it will be a penalty for parents who try to stop their kids from smoking, drinking alcohol, smoking dope or any other habits which could lead to a dangerous , possibly life threatening, choices.

It looks like California politicos are a sick, "control freak" oriented bunch!

In the same vein - gov't interference? - it's also illegal to beat your child, even if you do say it's your right, God told you to, and you don't want to spoil the child by sparing the rod!

Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

Yeah; more government wisdom ..interfering in the family.  It is illegal to beat ANYBODY...discipline is another subject.

It sure is ineresting when government when government inserts itself into the family..

Here's government wisdom ; we will prosecute you if you discipline your child...but if you want to kill him or her, that's a different story!
Matter of fact, in many cases the government pays the executioner to do it!  They may even kill your grandchild..and keep the whole thing a secret from you!
So much for "wisdom of government"..

I'll always trust GOD more than GOV...

I guarantee if I kill one of your grandchildren, I'll get prosecuted. I believe you're confused - if you kill your child OR grandchild - or anyone elses' children - you will get prosecuted, almost certainly. Please don't give bogus legal advice to people!

I think you're mixing in abortion, here, which is legal. It's not legal to kill your child. There are various statutes you can read that will clarify, if you need some help understanding the diff.

You can still discipline your child with a few swats from a belt in California. The problem is a few people went overboard so the court is always suspicous. There is a huge difference between beating and discipline.  Even California courts recognize this.
Courts would prefer alternatives to spankings. If you love your child you will discipline them.
Discipline includes love and hugs not just the belt.
If you don't love them let them do whatever without consequence.

Even here in the PRNY (People's Republic of New York)..discipline is allowed.  I have coffee mornings with some of the local "good old boys".  Two of these guys are State police...who have a substation here in our litttle hamlet, a third is a Swat tyeam member on the Buffalo, NY police..he lives at a nearby lake.
These cops have all said that physical discipline within reason, is acceptable..

Corrrection on earlier post...for a woman to hire a hit on her preborn boy or girl is acceptable with some of the sick in this society.  Others have conscience and convictions..  Of course, the father of same child is forbidden "killing rights"...and correctly so.
The law scripted by Democrats in many states is so corrupt, that a 13 year old child..coached by a teacher or school nurse, can have their preborn child snuffed..without the baby's grandparents even being made aware of it.
Legal...schmeagle...  there is a higher law than that which was crafted by a bunch of crooked, old politicians.  Someday those old politicians will be brought face to face with the author of that higher law...
....Some already have...
