I sure wouldn't take the scope off...One of my buddies has the same set up except with a Leupold...
As far as loads, go to a decent sporting goods dealer and buy a box of Hornady XTP hollow point bullets in .430 caliber...Either 300gr or 240gr (I use 300, my buddy uses 240) will work...Get some Harvester plain green sabots for those .430 bullets and load up with 80-90grs of your choice of powder ( I use Goex, one uses Pyrodex and another 777)...
Once you find an accurate load, sight her in 2 1/2 inches high at 100 yard and you should be dead on at about 125 and about 3 inches low at 150...
With that combo you can switch components for years and not ever do much better for whitetails....(Trust me on this as I've done it)...
