Yup, I definitely ain't buying no more guns.....

Well until the next time that is. My gun fund is at a healthy level at the moment so who knows what the heck I might do.

I'm trying not to buy anymore. I've sold off about 1/2 of what I've had. Spending money on scopes and upgrades now.

No more for me either, I had to sell all of mine after the obamination took office, eating is a hard habit to break. I did manage to keep my red ryder though. POWDERMAN.

i have all the guns i need and then some. ive sold off a bunch.id prob be better off with maybe 10 guns that i like to use for my hunting but i dont see that happening.all i hunt is deer, varmints and small game so a good 6.5x55 bolt and a 223 bolt or auto and a 22 rifle would be fine.throw in a couple shotguns for rabbits and self defense and a few hand guns for the same.i hang on to a lot of guns because i have so little in them i really cant justify getting rid of them.
and then there are guns that seem to increase in value every year.i keep them just as a investment.

i did see a nice pre 64 win 94 at a gunshop today! one basic thing im lacking.i just bit my tounge and purchased a lb a black powder and a tin of caps instead.

Right now I am working on a list of what I "think" my grandsons should have. That means 2 similar of everything: 2 lever 30-30's, 2 Mark II's, 2 muzzle loaders, and on.

I did come up with a new used Chipmunk at Gander of all places. Since they are only 3 and 4 1/2, there is still time to wait for them to get mature enough to start out. I want to take them hunting when they are ready, if I am still able. That is 10 years in the future for big game in Colorado, so I will be 74 and the other grandpa will be 79. May not happpen. Small game is a different story given that we live in such a metropolis.

There is something to be said for having one gun in a useful caliber (30-06 comes to mind) that you are extremely used to.

I avoid making statements that I don't think I can live up to.

Right now I'm upgrading some of the guns I already have but who knows, maybe I'll see a "need" for something new later on.

I'm proud of my self been 2 days now and i still aint bought anything, am going to wait till after Nov elections, if obummer gets kicked out ( and that aint likely ) then I'll buy me one more gun to celebrate.

You might better make your purchase before the election . Just to be on the safe side.

When I turned 18, I though you only needed 3 long guns. A big game rifle, preferably a 3006, a 12 gauge shotgun, and a 22 rifle. Started with a 12 gauge Mossburg pump, a Marlin model 60, and a 3006 bolt gun. Then things changed, there were old military guns, upgraded shotguns and rifles, and upgraged 22 rifles, then handguns. It would be hard to go back to just a handful, but it could be done. The above original 3 could put meat on the table, of any size and kind.

My son and I have pretty much weeded out our collection. Each firearm we kept has a specific purpose and all get used. Got rid of investment guns and those too fancy to carry in the woods. We plan on just adding barrels to my son's Contender pistol and to our Encore rifles. However they are all imaginary as we don't own any guns any more.
