I recently got a steal of a deal on 200rds of Alexander Arms factory Grendel ammo  (less than half price :)). It's all loaded into Lapua brass so I have my reloading brass once it's all fired too. This may be my most anticipated project Handi yet!

Thanks guys!  ;)

I spoke to Wayne yesterday via email. The rebore is done and it should be making it's way back to the house sometime soon.  Rest assured I will have an extensive load work up and range report sometime after I return. I can't make any promises of when that might happen, family comes first. ;)

Once again, I would like to thank those who helped pay for the project.

Thanks, Dinny

Thanks Pete!!

For those of you that may not know much about the 6.5 Grendel, here's more info.

http://www.6mmbr.com/65grendel.html

http://www.shootingillustrated.com/index.php/1759/6-5-grendel/

http://www.65grendel.com/forum/

I can't help but think this may end up being one of the best medium-range cartridges offered in a long time. What's not to like about efficiency, accuracy, light recoil and awesome killing power?

And in case I'm wrong, it can always be turned into a 6.5 Creedmoor or a 6.5-06. :D

Thanks, Dinny

Don't worry. I have 200rds of factory ammo to run through it before I can start rolling my own. I should have a decent idea of how it's going to shoot in February or March.

I could take Dinny Jr with me and get it done sooner but I don't think Momma would approve. ::) ;)

Thanks, Dinny

I would like to thank all those who contributed to this project. The Grendel Handi has made it's way back home where it will stay until I get done spending some quality time with my family.

Happy Holidays!

Dinny,

I wasn't able to chip in on your project (and you know why), but I really wish I could have. This is a great group of guys here that did, and it couldn't have went to a better guy.

Thank you for your service and hopefully we can meet up in a few months.

No fooling.  I almost didn't get to be because of how my father got one at Iwo Jima in WWII.

Congrats Dinny on your Bronze Star.  Way to go! ;D 8)   Take it from someone who's been there, done that, has the T-shirt AND the Bronze Star, this is one addition to your personnel file that should get the attention of the next SFC promotion review board.  Again, congrats, well deserved.
