Fans chanting USA USA seen as racist in Texas.

 Chanting 'USA! USA! USA!' Deemed Racist in Texas (Video)  3/7/12

After a boys high school basketball game in San Antonio, Alamo Heights fans celebrated a victory over San Antonio Edison.
Alamo Heights fans started chanting "USA! USA! USA!" and the officials from San Antonio took it as a racial insult. Their team was comprised of all minority players and they felt offended to see the opposing team chant "USA".
Three students from San Antonio Edison had this to say:
 

• "I was very surprised, very appalled."
• "They didn't really have any class."
• "It just rubbed us the wrong way."

The School district spokesperson said:
 

• "This is disrespectful to our students."

Students that are identified as being "guilty" of chanting this will be banned from the state title games. National pride may not have much to do with a local basketball game but that is not what the opposing school is complaining about. They are complaining that for someone to show national pride in the USA is to be racist... and that is an outrageous claim. It proves that they have not yet embraced living in these great United States.

It says a lot about those who take offense at those who demonstrate pride in our country.  Even if it were meant as a jab at the "all latino team", or whatever they were--too freaking bad.  Their best reaction would have been to join in and show that they are also proud to be Americans.

AMEN to that. To me it showed that they didn't see themselves as Americans. POWDERMAN.

It is the liberal multicultural hogwash.  Everyone is either Mexican American, African American, chinese American, Muslim American.    Everything is cult or culture before American.  This is the liberal way -- all part of a design to destroy America.  LIbErals do not believe in "E Pluribus Unum".
