According to the article not all Democrats approved and some asked him to step down.
It's a shame the law doesn't allow him to be charged with statutory rape.The consensual age in Minn is sixteen. Still a child IMO.Really not a scandal at all, but should be a crime.

Gee the police declined to charge him. Dang right it should be a crime. Since when is it permissible for a 56 year old homosexual to molest 17 year old boys? Maybe it had something to do with him being a Minn. Democrat. Again this is what homosexuals do. They seek out young partners, many of them teenagers. Its a fact that is proven over and over. The direction this country is headed, I figure it won't be long before its legal for old guys to molest teenagers. Its what the NAMBLA was created for, to support and promote man/boy relationships. Once the homosexuals find some normalcy in society (we are almost there) the next step is to create normalcy in men raping boys.
 Some of you probably think that will never happen. Then some of you probably never thought there would be a TV show where NAMBLA members throw a party and invite young boys. The boys are able to escape the men, but one boy accidentally walks into the room where the men are, and is raped. Great stuff, Huh? The show is South Park.
