« on: August 23, 2012, 01:34:40 PM »
Anyone here shooting the FA single shot? If so, what caliber, length of barrel, ect. I haven't sen much posted on it. It seems the only other choices are TC and MOA.

hi Sc,
I  shoot thr FA2008 in both 7BR and .223Rem from 15" barrels in IHMSA competition.
Use cast in thr 7BR and 55gr Hornady's in the 223. i am just starting out using the RCBS 55GR cast boolit in the 223 which is showing somr promise.
Lovely gun.

Check out the last post in the Stickies above. It is my write up on the single shot and the new at the time 224-32 FA. Bob Baker was in my area and dropped by to show them to me and let me shoot them on my range.

Thank you both for the reply. I haven't seen one other than pictures and I didn't know if they ever became available. Sometimes I kick around the idea of getting a single shot. Most of what I see are TCs and the very rare MOA Corporation offering. I don't know much about the chamberings that others use to hunt or what recoil to expect. I've seen a few posts about the 7mm08 caliber. Just trying to do the old background investigation.
