Many plants will close by 2014. Obama swore to bankrupt new plants with unnecessary regs. All part of his plan to destroy us. Good article. POWDERMAN.  >:( >:(

He is determined to ruin us.  I don't think there is any longer a question of his agenda.  He desperately wants the nation to fail.
Regarding coal (just like oil), it is a gift from God for the good of mankind, timed in the scheme of things to become abundantly available as man progresses.  Coal is a gift, no different than the animals he gave us for meat.  No different than the plants he gave us for food and medicine.  It's all here for us to use.  By design, it was made for us.  It's even now waitin for us under the ice of northern waste lands.  Obama will never understand that.  I wish he had a seal or a polar bear up his butt.
Man was intended to develop his abilities to use God's gifts as civilization progressed.  It is His plan.  Obama would not just interfere with that plan, but would attempt to disrupt it altogether.  I mean what is coal for?  What is it's purpose?  Did God make fossil fuels just to lie in the ground and go to waste?  No!  He made coal and oil for us to use.
Perhaps he made sunlight to be effectively harvested and turned into energy, and we just haven't progressed far enough to make it work.  Wind and water power are also His creation.  I can give the Democrats that.  But as of yet, those alternate energy sources won't work to fuel the world.  Or the nation.
I don't believe God would give us coal for fuel if he figured we'd pollute ourselves out of existence.  Obama and all liberals think they can question God's wisdom and gifts and make everything cozy.  It ain't gonna happen.  Even the simplest of minds can understand that humans were given souls and intelligence to use His gifts.  His blessings, bestowed upon us because He love us.  But Obama, who in many ways thinks he is our salvation, believes he knows what's best for us.  I wish he still lived in Kenya and had to burn jungle brush instead of coal.

Just as coal fired plants are being regulated out of business, so have many other companies, and businesses. We blame rich CEO's and greedy corporations for moving their business over seas, but the fact is that many of them can not afford to keep their business in this country because of government regulations. The problem is that its not very easy to move a coal fired plant to China or they would have moved long ago. Government intervention is slowly bring this country to a halt, and it just didn't start with Obama at the helm. Obama is just speeding the process to ruin,  at a quicker pace.

True but it's pretty easy to move coal to China. :o

It ain't over yet. This week, the USEPA got slapped down for over stepping its legal authority within the Clean Air Act for promulgating the Cross State Air Pollution Rule.  A circuit court vacated the rule, because EPA ore-emptied states' rights to develop legislation that curtails the effects of air pollution that negatively impacts the air quality of a neighboring state.   The CSAPR rule was targeted at coal fired power plants and was written with the specific intent of shutting them down.

Although damage has been done, the checks and balances are in place and appear to be effective.  It's just a matter of weathering the storm until the country begins a pendulum swing back to the right.

Aw, c'mon. Wind and solar power is gonna save us.  :o

All you have to do is check how well the two are doing. Solar cell manufactuers going bankrupt even with all the tax dollars Obama gave them to play with. Wind is doing a little more but I've been in a windfarm group for the last seven years. No interest at all from anyone in all that time.  ;D
