bay's up roun 7', lottsa wind.. not really nuthin much more thana squal x 2.
some rain but no wheres near 14" as was expected

all is gud with tha critters here, seen several yearlin play'n ana coupla nanny's out graze'n
this morn'n.

talked wif my kin in lafourche and jefferson back home and they been ride'n quite well

we all down heah thank its been over-rated by tha media.

an i wanna thank all yall folks here that send PM's to us here for fortune, very much appreciated
an thatsa fact.

as always we take mother-nature with glory and prayer.

Kinda what I was a thinkin' too. Might have to load the boat up with the crab traps and head over the hill and catch me some of those Dungeness crabs we got out here on this side of the island.

Ya can send some of the extra water out here John. Been drier than a popcorn fart out here and makes sneakin' up on the critters tough.

Gendoc- Please do not mention Cajun food on this forum.

I spend a lot of time here and would rather not be reminded of how much I miss it here in N.C. I have lived here since i was 8, but nothing can erase those nasty hooks that cajun food puts in ya as soon as you've been exposed.

Gendoc,glade you rode it out OK. I am in delta area, I-20 corridor. Got some rain and a tree broken off 25' up, but otherwise no damage. Apparently, the center pasted right over us, but it took out its revenge on the southern part of the state. Did not have much left when it got to us.

I live just to the East of Baton Rouge. Just now getting decent Internet service again. The eye came about 40miles from us but not much punch to it. 30+mph winds and less than 10" rain. The last 2 hurricanes took my big oak trees 1 on my house. I had everything cleaned up by noon and the grass mowed. Still waiting on the electricity to get turned back on, keeping cool with the ole generator. All my guns stayed dry. The media made it out to be a lot worse than it actually was except for the storm surge on the East side. Probably the worse it's been in years. A lot of people still catching hell with rising water.
We spent a lot if time last month in Grand Isle stocking up on blue crabs and speckled trout. Can't wait for it to cool off for a gumbo.
