This is a little extreme I think. Perhaps a broken jaw administered by the husband or a brother is more like it.
But all too often while in the process of administering street justice, people don't know when enough is enough, they keep slugging and kicking and before you know it, someone is dead from foot administered head trauma.
From what I know about LAPD policy, this guy MIGHT, and that's a big MAYBE, get fired but he absolutely WILL NOT BE CHARGED for a crime, mark my words.
As for street justice, many of you may not know this but in LA cops get their asses kicked ALL THE TIME.
But to make this widely, publicly known would truly be a dis-service to the public at large and could ignite fires in the streets that would be difficult to extinguish (example the Rodney King fiasco). It is a matter of public safety that these incidents are kept as quiet as possible, especially if the officer, through his own lack of professionalism, brought the beat down on himself.
They are usually young cops that get cocky and bite off more than they can chew. In the end, they are lucky to walk away with their lives and many of them quit the force and say "nope, not for me".
The Sheriff's Dept. is a little different in the sense that they require all academy grads to work a minimum of two years handling inmates in the notorious LA County Jail. This definitely hardens them up and gives them an idea of what they'll be dealing with on the streets before they get out there.
The down side to this is that they get into a dehumanizing mentality and treat EVERYONE the way they'd treat a county inmate who is on trial for robbery.
As for the guys in this video... who knows
